Luiz Fernando named in Corinthians squad for clássico against Santos | OneFootball

Itatiaia reports that 19-year-old forward Luiz Fernando has been named in Corinthians' squad for the clássico against Santos in the 25th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

He has been working on the left flank with the senior group, in contrast to his usual right-wing role at under-20 level.

It is his third inclusion with the first team. The first came in 2024, when Corinthians beat Vitória 2-1 under then coach Ramón Díaz, who called up the forward at 17. He was listed again in the next round, a 2-1 win over Cruzeiro.

In July he moved towards a contract renewal and received praise from coach Fernando Diniz, although negotiations later slowed.

A club academy product since the age of 14, he scored 11 goals in 35 outings for the under-17s in 2023. In 2024 he added six in 15 at the same age group before stepping up, then registered four in 29 for the under-20s. He finished 2025 with 10 in 39, and has 18 in 34 so far in 2026, his best return to date.
