Luka Elsner will not see out his first season in Poland. Appointed last summer, the former Le Havre and Reims coach was dismissed by KS Cracovia on Monday, five games from the end, after a 1-4 defeat to Rakow Czestochowa.

Bartosz Grzelak has been named as his replacement, according to L'Équipe. The Pole has been out of work for nearly a year since leaving Ujpest in Hungary.

Elsner, 43, leaves Cracovia 13th of 18 in the league, only three points clear of the first relegation place, Arka Gdynia.

The club’s 2026 form has faltered, with just 10 points from 33 available, well below expectations after pushing for Europe last season.

His league record stands at 9 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats. Cracovia were also knocked out of the Polish Cup in the last 32 by Rakow, 0-3.
