Luka Modric remains available for Croatia, the Croatian Football Federation announced on Saturday, clarifying the 41-year-old’s international future.

Modric has represented the national team since 2006, earning more than 200 caps, and helped lead Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.

Head coach Slaven Bilic has returned for a second spell after the World Cup round of 16 defeat to Portugal, 1-2. He said he was extremely happy with Modric’s decision and highlighted his impact on and off the pitch.
