Last year, Lukasz Piszczek revealed that he would likely retire once his Dortmund contract ran out at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Now, it appears he may have a change of heart.

In an interview with Polish outlet Przeglad Sportowy, the 34-year-old opened the door to a potential extension.
“Right now, I don’t want to say for certain that I’ll end my career next year,” Piszczek said.
“We’ll see how it goes. If there’s an option to extend, I’ll be open to it.”
Despite a nagging heel injury and the stellar play of Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi, Piszczek managed to make 20 Bundesliga appearances, registering a goal and six assists.
Since arriving from Hertha Berlin in 2010, Piszczek has featured in an incredible 325 matches for the German giants.
