Lukebakio’s Madrid actions prompt fresh questions at Benfica | OneFootball

Dodi Lukebakio’s reaction after being an unused substitute at Real Madrid has become another flashpoint around Benfica’s dressing-room mood.

Record reports that the Belgian showed clear disappointment at not being used by João Tralhão, remaining on the bench throughout. After Slavko Vincic’s final whistle at the Santiago Bernabéu, he headed straight for the dressing room without the customary acknowledgement of Benfica supporters in the stands.

He later returned to the pitch with the other unused players to complete activation drills, while many benfiquistas were still inside the ground awaiting permission to leave.

The incident follows a recent situation involving Sidny Cabral, adding to suggestions the atmosphere inside the squad has seen better days.

Lukebakio is yet to build rhythm, having played only a few minutes since a three-month injury lay-off. Tralhão made only three late substitutions against Real Madrid.
