Lyon visit Strasbourg on Sunday at 20:45 for their 49th league trip to the Meinau, which, according to Le Progres, has delivered seven moments.
1968: On 9 April, Fleury Di Nallo clinched a 1-0 win, one of his 18 that season. He later called it unforgiving.
1976: On 7 February, Albert Gemmrich led a 5-0 thrashing. Aimé Mignot was replaced after seven and a half years, paving the way for Aimé Jacquet.
1983: On 20 May, Strasbourg sealed a 2-0 win with 10 minutes left. Olivier Rouyer fractured a fibula and José Pasqualetti departed in a cast, and a brawl involved Francis Piasecki and André Ferri.
1998: On 21 January, OL won 2-1 at Racing. Reynald Pedros scored in the 11th minute and Alain Caveglia on 31, who relished the Meinau’s lively stage.
2003: On 3 May, Lyon cruised 4-0, through Anderson in the fourth, Éric Carrière on 60, Peguy Luyindula on 64 and Mickaël Violeau on 79. With three left, they led Marseille by two points.
2022: Before the West Ham Europa League return, a 1-1 was overshadowed by Anthony Lopes’s knee sprain on the half-hour. He missed the tie three days later, German Julian Pollersbeck starting in the 0-3 defeat.
2023: On 28 April, Laurent Blanc’s final OL win was a 2-1 comeback after Morgan Sanson’s 15th-minute opener, via Castello Lukeba on 32 and Maxence Caqueret on 36.
