Arsenal thought they made the perfect start to their Women's Champions League title defence.
Alessia Russo gave the Gunners an early lead against Lyon, curling a well-taken finish into the bottom corner after just six minutes.
However, Arsenal's early advantage was soon obliterated by Melchie Dumornay's quickfire double following two mistakes from the hosts.
The Lyon attacker first punished Daphne van Domselaar's slack pass from inside the Arsenal area and slotted into the net.

Just five minutes later, Arsenal failed to clear their lines and Dumornay curled in an expert finish from outside the box.
Can Arsenal find a way back into this contest?
