Lyon beat Le Havre 1-0 in Ligue 1 on Sunday to rise from sixth to fifth, with Pavel Sulc's second half header settling it after Dominik Greif kept out a first half penalty.

In the 38th minute, Dominik Greif saved Issa Soumaré's penalty, awarded for a foul by Tyler Morton on Gautier Lloris.

After the restart, Afonso Moreira delivered from the left and Pavel Sulc glanced in from close range (52.).

Greif then denied Mbwana Samatta twice as Le Havre pushed for a leveller (54., 68.), before parrying Noam Obougou's low drive late on (81.).

Les Gones registered 18 attempts and 57.3% possession as they controlled large spells. Le Havre produced 10 attempts, testing Greif four times.

The clean sheet is Les Gones' ninth of the Ligue 1 season. Next, Les Gones host Saint-Cyr in the Coupe de France. Le Havre host Amiens in the Coupe de France.
