Lyon led by one at half-time but unravelled after the interval against Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final, conceding under pressure and gifting two through individual errors.
Le Progres notes the victory lifts the hosts' morale, although it does not settle the outcome of the tie.
It was Lyon’s first defeat on English soil in their long European history.
Their previous five visits to Arsenal had all ended in victory. The run ended at the Emirates on Sunday in front of 25,000, almost half last year’s semi-final crowd, with the home fans revelling in the display.
To erase this first reverse across the Channel, Wendie Renard and her team-mates must produce a far better performance, possibly helped by the return of three key players.
