Lyon supporters will be absent from the Vélodrome on Sunday night after the Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture and the Interior Ministry banned travel for the OM v OL match, scheduled for 20:45. The DNLH has classified the fixture at level five, the highest risk.

According to L'Équipe, there will be no Lyon section in the ground and authorities are confident the travel ban will be observed.

A decree issued on nine February bars OL fans from the stadium and restricts movement and parking in central Marseille from Sunday to Monday morning.

It cites past serious public-order trouble between the rival fanbases and sets out a large-scale security operation around the game.

A separate order on 25 February from the Interior Ministry also prohibits any individual or group travel by Lyon supporters. The measure references long-standing animosity, including incidents around the late October 2023 Olympico, the last time Lyon fans visited the Vélodrome.
