According to L'Équipe, the Interior Ministry has moved to issue an order preventing Lyon supporters from travelling to Saturday’s Paris FC v OL at Stade Jean-Bouin, although it has not yet been published.
Authorities had initially cleared an allocation roughly equivalent to five coaches of away fans for Saturday evening. That initial approval has now been reversed.
The decision may be linked to the National Division for the Fight against Hooliganism’s risk grading. The match could be rated four out of five, which would signal a very high risk of disorder, particularly involving Paris Saint-Germain fans.
Very serious incidents were recorded before the 2024 Coupe de France final between Lyon and PSG ultras. That backdrop forms part of the police concerns around this fixture.
In response to the prospective ban, OL fans could seek an urgent legal appeal to try to have the order overturned. The uncertainty complicates Paris FC’s planning, as the club do not know whether to staff the away section accordingly or release those seats for sale.
