Lyon hand 19-year-old Steeve Kango debut at Celta Vigo

Paulo Fonseca has handed 19-year-old right-back Steeve Kango his professional debut as Lyon visit Celta Vigo for the Europa League round of 16 first leg on Thursday at 21:00.

As reported by L'Équipe, Ainsley Maitland-Niles is injured and Hans Hateboer is not registered for the competition, so Kango gets the nod.

The academy product starts in Fonseca’s 4-4-2. He has yet to feature in Ligue 1 or the Coupe de France.
