Should the DNCG, French football’s financial watchdog, end Olympique Lyonnais’ transfer ban later this month, the club are looking to bring in two players from Nottingham Forest in a deal worth €30m, L’Équipe understands.

Lyon shopped at Nottingham Forest last season, signing Moussa Niakhaté and Orel Mangala for a combined sum of €60m. OL are looking to pay half of that to bring in two more players from the Premier League side: Danilo (24) and Matt Turner (30). The former arrived at the club highly rated, but last season, injuries restricted him to just eight appearances in the Premier League.

OL’s interest in the Brazilian had already been reported by Fabrizio Romano, who understands that a deal is close. USA international Turner is also expected to join Les Gones, DNCG approval permitting. He will come in as back-up to Lucas Perri. The total cost of the double swoop, L’Équipe understands, will be €30m.
