Lyon predicted XI v Maccabi Tel Aviv: Paulo Fonseca contending with several absences | OneFootball

Paulo Fonseca is without several key players as his Olympique Lyonnais side travel to face Maccabi Tel Aviv on Thursday night. 

Lyon have already been without Malick Fofana for several weeks and his return is not exactly imminent, whilst Ernest Nuamah is also yet to return from his ACL blow. There are absences in the defence, too. Clinton Mata will miss this game through injury, as will Ruben Kluivert and Hans Hateboer; the latter is ineligible, having joined OL after the submission of the club’s Europa League squad list. Rachid Ghezzal is in the same scenario. 

The injuries could force Fonseca to play Tanner Tessmann in the back four, alongside the indispensable Moussa Niakhaté. Rémy Descamps looks set to be favoured over Dominik Greif in goal.
