Lyon return to training after two days off ahead of Nice visit

According to Le Progres, Lyon resumed training on Tuesday afternoon in rainy Décines after two days' rest.

The session included Clinton Mata, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Moussa Niakhaté.

Seven matches in three weeks have extended their winning streak to 12 in all competitions, but the workload has taken a toll.

This is finally a week with only one match, the same is planned for the next two weeks, a schedule that suits head coach Paulo Fonseca.

Attention now turns to Sunday's Ligue 1 home meeting with Nice.
