Lyon to resume training on 29 June with July camp in Bavaria

Lyon will resume training on 29 June, five weeks before their Champions League third qualifying round first leg, and will hold a camp in Bavaria from 19 to 24 July.

According to L'Équipe, the early start follows their fourth-place finish and entry at the third qualifying round, even though Ligue 1 does not begin until 23 August.

Paulo Fonseca’s squad will play several July friendlies, with opponents yet to be confirmed. The camp will be at a Bavarian complex where OL Lyonnes prepared last year.

The first leg is set for 4 or 5 August against one of Union Saint-Gilloise, Sparta Prague, Nimègue, Sturm Graz, Gornik Zabrze or Hearts.

The return is on 11 August. If they advance, the play-off round is scheduled for 18 and 19, then 25 or 26 August.
