Lyon winger Kadidiatou Diani a doubt for PSG final | OneFootball

Lyon winger Kadidiatou Diani faces uncertainty over a knee issue and could miss Sunday’s final against PSG in Valenciennes.

According to Le Progres, she has yet to learn the extent of the injury picked up against Arsenal.

She took a knock to her knee in that match, continued for a short spell, then was withdrawn in the 77th minute for Vicki Becho, a change her coach Jonatan Giráldez described as precautionary.

On the eve of hosting Montpellier, a game Diani would have missed anyway, Giráldez said the severity was still unclear. He added that her availability for the next fixtures depends on medical examinations and the view of the club’s staff.

Diani was one of the three goalscorers as Lyon secured qualification for the Champions League final.

Tabitha Chawinga and Inès Benyahia, who missed both meetings with the English side, are not ready yet and trained apart on Tuesday. The coach said their recovery is very positive, especially for Chawinga who is returning quickly. After Montpellier there will be a rest period, then two days to prepare the Coupe de France final, and he does not yet know if they will be in Valenciennes because they must rejoin the group before 18 players are selected.
