Pavel Šulc sustained a muscle injury in Lyon’s 3-1 defeat at Strasbourg on Sunday, leaving him a doubt for next weekend’s Olympico, according to RMC Sport.
The defeat snapped Lyon’s 13-game winning run. Šulc went off after 28 minutes at the Stade de la Meinau, holding the back of his thigh.
Paulo Fonseca said the Czech international has a "muscular problem at the back of the thigh", he told Ligue1+. Medical tests are scheduled for Monday to assess the extent.
Lyon sit third in Ligue 1 on 45 points, five clear of Marseille, and visit the Stade Vélodrome on Sunday at 20:45 CET in a match that could prove decisive in the race for Champions League qualification.
Signed last summer from Viktoria Plzeň for €7.5 million, Šulc has 13 goals and seven assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
He scored the winner in the reverse fixture against Marseille at the Groupama Stadium on 31 August, his first goal for the club.
