The Bayern day in the ticker: Here FCBinside offers you a compact overview of what’s going on at FC Bayern. The most important news, information and transfer rumors of the day about the record champions. And the opportunity for you to discuss the latest developments in the comments section. Monday, February 2 – let’s go!
Former Bayern coach Felix Magath has been critical of the refereeing debate following the match in Hamburg. He considers the public criticism from the Bayern camp to be excessive. „This grumbling from the players is unnecessary. That wasn’t an unfair game. FC Bayern doesn’t need to complain that it gets too many whistles for or against it in the Bundesliga. The whistle is usually blown for Bayern. You look for mistakes everywhere but in yourself,“ said Magath in an interview with RTL.
The statements made by individual Bayern managers also fit the picture for him. Chief Sporting Officer Max Eberl had described referee Harm Osmers as „a bit out of his depth“, while emotional comments from players such as Josip Stanisic and Harry Kane also became known. For Magath, however, this discussion distracts from the real problem.
Magath explained: „The great flow is out of the Bayern team at the moment.“ While FC Bayern were still confident in the first half of the season, the picture has changed since the winter break. „FC Bayern impressed in the first half of the season because they were confident. They had everything under control and you never had the feeling that anything could go wrong. Since the winter break, this dominance has gone. You saw that against HSV,“ said the 71-year-old.
A key personnel decision has already been made at FC Bayern Munich. Leon Goretzka’s departure next summer has been confirmed after a transfer this winter failed due to the player’s veto. At the same time, the Munich club are sounding out the market and have their eye on a top-class name from the Premier League. The background can be found here

FC Bayern suddenly have competition again in the Bundesliga title race. After the 2:2 draw at Hamburger SV and Dortmund’s shaky win against Heidenheim, Munich’s lead has melted away. BVB captain Nico Schlotterbeck uses the situation to make a clear statement to Säbener Straße. Here are his statements

FC Bayern have reached a decisive phase in the Dayot Upamecano case. The months-long contract negotiations with the French centre-back are in danger of collapsing. Munich have waited long enough internally and are now noticeably increasing the pressure on the 27-year-old and his advisor. Find out more here.
