Maghnes Akliouche confirms Monaco exit wish; Juventus a possible destination? | OneFootball

Maghnes Akliouche (24) is expected to leave AS Monaco this summer and the France international has now confirmed his exit wishes in an interview with Nice-Matin.

Akliouche has come through the ranks at Monaco. His formative club have not shied away from stating that the playmaker will be available this summer at the right price. There is no shortage of interest. The likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and more recently, Liverpool, have all been linked with a move for the Frenchman. 

Asked by Nice-Matin whether the next step for him would be a transfer, Akliouche responded in the affirmative. “But I am focused on the World Cup,” added the France international. “[The World Cup] is a huge window of opportunity but I am focused on the national team’s objectives. I don’t want to disrespect my club by talking about the transfer window now.”

A potential new candidate for his signature has emerged. As per a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Khéphren Thuram is trying to convince his compatriot of a move to Juventus. Amid interest from elite sides across Europe, it remains to be seen whether the former OGC Nice midfielder’s attempts will reap rewards.
