Maghnes Akliouche joins Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in 50 million euros deal | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain have signed France international Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco for 50 million euros on a five-year contract to 2031. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder will wear number 11.

The move was confirmed on Thursday evening. The club said in a statement that Akliouche, born in Tremblay-en-France, felt immense pride at joining the capital club after growing up in Île-de-France. He has 10 caps and one goal for France and featured at the World Cup.

He is the first major signing for the double European champions, who have also recruited young Italian goalkeeper Alessandro Longoni. Luis Enrique's side strengthen their attack after Gonçalo Ramos joined AC Milan and Lee Kang-in moved to Atlético Madrid, while uncertainty remains over Bradley Barcola.

Akliouche became a mainstay at Monaco, playing 3,425 minutes across 43 matches last season. He was the squad's most used player under Adi Hütter, then under his successor Sébastien Pocognoli, though his form sometimes dipped.

His season was described as frustrating amid Monaco's lack of collective dominance, and Akliouche worked more defensively, a duty he does not shirk. In Paris, he will continue to do that within a dominant side.

He has aimed for greater consistency and more clinical finishing to help the team with goals and assists. He finished last season with seven goals and 11 assists in all competitions, following seven goals and 12 assists the year before.
