Paris Maghoma has completed a permanent transfer to Sky Bet Championship club Norwich City.

The midfielder joined the club in January 2020 and made 10 appearances across all competitions.

Part of the Brentford B side that lifted the London Senior Cup in 2021/22, he was promoted to the first-team set-up that summer and handed a new contract.

He spent the first half of the 2022/23 season in League Two with AFC Wimbledon, before moving to MK Dons, then in League One, on loan in January of that campaign.

Maghoma joined up with Bolton Wanderers in 2023/24 and made 50 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and contributing seven assists.

The now 24-year-old was named the Trotters’ Young Player of the Year following a season that ended in a play-off final defeat to Oxford United at Wembley.

Maghoma made his Brentford debut as a second-half substitute in a Premier League game against Aston Villa in December 2024.

His full debut followed last January when the Bees hosted Plymouth Argyle in the third round of the FA Cup.

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews said: “There’s no doubting Paris’s ability.

“He’s a very talented young player who has probably been frustrated with a lack of game time and is at an age now where he really needs to go and play football.

“His talent should allow him to have a really good career, so we wish Paris really well at a very good club.”
