Maidstone United’s FA Cup journey ended against Coventry City but Lucas Covolan was determined not to bow out quietly.
The Championship hosts were coasting to victory courtesy of Ellis Simms’ first-half hat-trick to all but destroy their non-league counterparts’ fairy tale run.

Not to be outdone, however, Covolan produced another star turn at the Coventry Building Society Arena as he sidestepped the Sky Blues’ attacking threat.
The Brazilian goalkeeper stole the headlines when Maidstone stunned Ipswich Town to set up Monday’s fifth-round tie against Mark Robins’ side.
Despite producing a string of stops, he was unable to prevent the Sky Blues from adding a further two goals through Fábio Tavares’ late brace.
