Mainz forward Bøving nearing 1.FC Nürnberg loan spell

William Bøving is on the brink of leaving Mainz 05 to join 1.FC Nürnberg, according to exclusive information from Sky Germany.

With transfer negotiations already in the home stretch, it's believed the Danish talent will join the Bavarian club on a year-long loan.

However, the second division outfit will not be granted an option to purchase the 23-year-old after the 2026-27 season ends.

Bøving, who found the net in Mainz's 9-0 win over VfB Krieschow, will undergo his medical scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 28 August.

In Mainz, the versatile forward is still under contract until 2029 and is rated highly by those in charge despite struggling with form.
