Mainz are pushing to keep Stefan Posch beyond his loan, with talks with Como progressing.

According to Kicker, Mainz have entered concrete negotiations with his parent club, Como, to secure a permanent deal.

With no purchase option in the original loan, the clubs must agree a fee. A price in the mid to high single-digit million range is considered realistic for Mainz.

Posch established himself after arriving in January, making 20 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

He is currently part of Austria’s World Cup squad.
