Liverpool could reportedly struggle to secure the signing of Endrick from Real Madrid this summer as their search for attacking signings goes on.
The Reds lost club legend Mohamed Salah at the end of last season and will surely need to be active soon in order to fill that considerable void.
New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has also recently spoken about the club’s plans to make more signings before the transfer deadline.
Endrick could be a good option, but it seems Real Madrid are set to block any departure, according to Football Insider.
The report states that LFC will probably be unable to sign Endrick due to the fact that Real Madrid have already lost depth up front this summer by allowing Gonzalo Garcia to join Fulham.
This sounds like a blow for the Merseyside giants, who could surely have done well to land the highly-rated young Brazil international.
Iraola has also made it clear he wants new players in before the end of the window as his squad currently looks a bit thin.
“We will definitely sign some players. Some deals you have to wait until the end. But the end is the important picture, the one we will have on September 1, because it is true that we are still quite thin,” the Spanish tactician said recently, as quoted by
Endrick has not quite lived up to expectations at Real Madrid, but it seems he remains part of the squad for the season ahead.
The 20-year-old had a spell on loan at Lyon last season, and Los Blancos will hope that he’s now gained some experience and confidence after getting more playing time.
If things don’t improve for Endrick soon, there will surely be an opportunity for Liverpool and other clubs to swoop for him again in the near future.
