Málaga sealed a return to Primera División after a win over Almería, sparking celebrations across the city tonight.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, thousands took to the streets to mark the promotion.

The centre of the capital was awash with flags, scarves and shirts.

Celebrations also spread to other municipalities across the province.

The achievement comes after eight seasons away from Primera División.
