It was just over a decade ago that Málaga were reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Huge names like Ruud van Nistelrooy, Javier Saviola and Julia Baptista were treading the boards at La Rosaleda whilst the club enjoyed an unprecedented level of success.
But the Albiceleste have since fall down the divisions.
Málaga are now, 10 years on from their famous run to the Champions League quarter-finals, in the Primera Federación – the third tier of Spanish football.
Still though, the club’s fans have regained a sense of humour about their downfall.
After failing to sign any new players this summer, Málaga supporters decided to liven the mood in southern Spain by welcoming a random tourist at the city’s airport.
A video circulating online has shown a dozens of Málaga fans singing songs and chanting at an arrival at the Málaga-Costa Del Sol airport this week, much to the bafflement of the unknowing tourist.
