Malick Fofana, Pavel Šulc and Afonso Moreira back in Lyon squad to face Celta Vigo | OneFootball

According to Get French Football News, Paulo Fonseca said at his press conference that Malick Fofana, Pavel Šulc and Afonso Moreira are set to rejoin the Olympique Lyonnais squad. Lyon host Celta Vigo on Thursday in the Europa League round of 16 second leg.

The trio are not yet ready for a full 90 minutes, but Fonseca suggested they could be used from the bench.

Fofana, 20, has missed more than 120 days since spraining his ankle against RC Strasbourg Alsace in late October, and is now poised to play again.

Šulc, 25, and Moreira, 20, the team’s leading scorer and leading provider respectively, have been sidelined since February. Their return adds depth in attack for a side short of options in recent weeks.

Ernest Nuamah, 22, is back in full training after a cruciate ligament tear last April. No date was given for a squad return, though he could feature against AS Monaco on Sunday.

Ruben Kluivert, 24, and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, 28, continue their rehabilitation and are not expected to return before the end of the international break.
