La Liga outfit Mallorca have this week tied a key member of the club’s midfield ranks down to fresh terms.
The player in question? Antonio Sánchez.
The versatile Sánchez has played a central role for Mallorca across the 2023/24 season to date.
After coming close to a departure from Son Moix last summer, the 26-year-old, through hard work and perseverance, has since gone on to force his way into the plans of Javier Aguirre, in impressive fashion.
All told, Sánchez has featured in 22 of the Bermellones’ 29 La Liga outings, 18 of which came as a starter.
Not only that, but he has chipped in with three goals and an assist along the way, proving himself decisive in Mallorca’s push away from the relegation zone.
And, as alluded to above, this week, such endeavours have been aptly recognised by the brass at Son Moix.
As confirmed in a statement across the club’s website and social media platforms, Sánchez has signed a new contract with Mallorca, extending the relationship between the parties for a further three seasons, to 2027.
