Mamadou Sangaré leaves Lens squad as Brentford move nears

Malian midfielder Mamadou Sangaré has left the Lens squad in northern Italy for the Como Cup, and according to L'Équipe his transfer to Brentford is imminent.

The 24-year-old was in Como on Tuesday for the tournament's opening matches but did not feature.

He has travelled to Paris to finalise a move to the Premier League.

He will not be involved in Saturday's friendly final against Villarreal.

Signed last summer from Rapid Vienna for 5 M€ plus 3 M€ in bonuses, he is set to become the biggest sale in Lens history, bringing in 48 M€ before bonuses.
