Liverpool faced off against Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes earlier tonight as they hoped to grind out a result in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 11th minute when Desire Doue found the back of the net. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia doubled his side’s lead in the 65th minute as Liverpool crashed to a lackluster 2-0 loss in Paris.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
He made a handful of important saves at the back and kept the scoreline respectable for his team.
RWB: Jeremie Frimpong – 6/10
Frimpong failed to impress defensively but got himself into some dangerous areas in the final third.
CB: Ibrahima Konate – 6/10
He looked shaky at the back and could have given away two penalties in the second half, but got bailed out by VAR.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 6/10
Van Dijk failed to organise his backline and put in a disjointed performance on the defensive end of the field.

CB: Joe Gomez – 7/10
Gomez mopped up the danger when he could, but lacked quality on the ball.
LWB: Milos Kerkez – 6.5/10
He came back to defend when he could and had a couple of lively moments going forward.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
Gravenberch was full of energy and running at the centre of the park, but failed to impress in the final third.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6/10
He lacked quality on the ball and failed to protect his teammates at the back.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai – 6.5/10
Szoboszlai tried to make things happen, but never got a sniff at goal.
ST: Florian Wirtz – 6/10
He was always willing to get on the ball, but often lost it without much effort.
ST: Hugo Ekitike – 6/10
Ekitike wasted one decent chance in the final third but was mostly quiet.
