Sundowns set to sign another Portuguese midfielder

Mamelodi Sundowns are close to reaching a full agreement on the signing of Portuguese midfielder Miguel Reisinho ahead of the PSL transfer deadline on Monday midnight.

The 26-year-old has been a free agent since terminating his contract with Liga Portugal side Boavista at the end of last season.

Reisinho primarily operates as a central midfielder but can also turn out as a no.10 and an inverted winger.

Last season, the former Portugal under 20 international made 30 appearances across all competitions, chipping in with five goals in the process.

Overrall, he has featured 85 times for Boavista and scored nine goals with four assists provided since joining the club in 2019.

Should a deal materialize as expected, Reisinho will join compatriot Nuno Santos, who is set to complete a move to Chloorkop in a deal worth € 1 million (R20 million).

Sources have confirmed Reisinho is also expected to touch down in South Africa imminently for a routine medical check, subject to agreement on personal terms.
