A recent report from Mundo Deportivo revealed that Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have joined Juventus in the race for Atalanta star Ederson. However, the Premier League club might be pulling ahead in this race.

The Spanish newspaper reports that Atalanta have set their price at €60 million and are unwilling to accept anything less. Since joining Gian Piero Gasperini’s side from Salernitana in the summer of 2022, the 25-year-old has been a key figure in La Dea’s starting lineup.

TEAMtalk reported on Tuesday, citing sources, that Manchester City have recently contacted Ederson’s representatives to gauge his interest in a move to the Etihad.

The report suggests that Ederson is flattered by Manchester City’s interest and is excited by the idea of joining one of the world’s top clubs. However, a transfer is far from straightforward.

Atalanta represent the biggest obstacle to a move, as they are unwilling to sell Ederson for anything less than €50 million (£41.8 million / $42.9 million). TEAMTalk, citing sources, reports that the Serie A club has made it clear there is no chance of negotiating this figure.

Atalanta is determined not to lose key players as they look to mount an unlikely title challenge. Gasperini’s side is currently in second place, just one point behind leaders Napoli.
