Manchester City delivered a ruthless FA Cup performance, hammering League One side Exeter City City 10-1 at the Etihad Stadium to reach the fourth round.

The Premier League side were already in control before half-time, capitalising on defensive errors and two early own goals.

Academy graduate Max Alleyne got things underway, poking the ball over the line, before captain Rodri struck a thunderous 30-yard effort.

The Grecians were further punished as Jake Doyle-Hayes and Jack Fitzwater each inadvertently turned the ball into their own net, leaving the visitors shell-shocked.

City showed no mercy after the break. Rico Lewis added his name to the scoresheet, and new £65m signing Antoine Semenyo made an instant impact, firing in a low, precise finish on his debut. Exeter managed a small consolation late on when 19-year-old George Birch fired in a left-footed strike, but Lewis completed the scoring in stoppage time to hand City a remarkable 10-1 victory.
