Man City can take full control of the Premier League title race this weekend
The top two in the Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday in a game that could have a major say as to who is crowned champions of England next month.
Man City begin the weekend six points behind Arsenal, but, crucially perhaps, have played a game less than the league leaders.
With the trip to relegation-threatened Burnley being brought forward to next Wednesday due to their involvement in the FA Cup semi-final, City can move to the top of the table by winning the next two league games.
Though, if Arsenal avoid defeat they will remain in control of their own destiny with five games remaining after visiting the Etihad.
Speaking on Friday, Guardiola went one step further by declaring the title will be “over” if the Gunners leave the Etihad with all three points - for the first time since January 2015.
“Yes, obviously. If we lose, it is over,” the Spaniard told reporters. “The other two results, knowing that Arsenal didn't beat Bournemouth - we still have games to play.
“Six games is a lot and especially in our calendar. Everton away, Bournemouth away, Aston Villa the last game at home.
“Crystal Palace and Brentford. There are still many things to do."

Guardiola said similar last month prior to his side’s clash against West Ham, claiming dropped points at the London Stadium would be costly.
However, after being held to a 1-1 draw, Guardiola appeared to backtrack over his pre-match comments because Man City did not lose.
City are the form team heading into the title showdown having won their last three games in all competitions - including a Carabao Cup final success against Arsenal before the international break.
