Rodrygo stayed at Real Madrid after the summer transfer window, despite ongoing speculation about his future. PSG was frequently linked to him, but no deal ever materialized.
Reports on the French club’s interest have been mixed. Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé cited that Rodrygo wasn’t on PSG’s target list. At the same time, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that both PSG and Liverpool were keeping a close eye on him, with Tottenham Hotspur no longer involved.
A move to Paris later in the season could still happen, depending on how Rodrygo’s role at Real Madrid develops. Nonetheless, amid a couple of Premier League clubs reportedly showing lukewarm interest, there’s one side that is keen on the player.

TEAMtalk reports that a January exit from Real Madrid is looking increasingly likely, with Manchester City currently leading the race to sign Rodrygo in a deal that could reach £70 million.
Chelsea reportedly remain interested in the winger but have reservations over Estêvão’s development. Meanwhile, Tottenham have stepped back due to his wage expectations.
Furthermore, Plettenberg recently reported that the rumor connecting Tottenham to Rodrygo remains inaccurate. A potential deal appears unrealistic primarily due to the winger’s salary demands.
Even so, a January transfer cannot be ruled out entirely, as clubs continue to explore the market. Rodrygo’s current contract with Real Madrid runs through 2028. Additionally, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano noted that there are no ongoing talks between Chelsea and Rodrygo regarding a possible January move.
ESPN Brasil previously revealed that Rodrygo has grown frustrated with his reduced role this season and is seriously considering a January departure. So far, he has played only 24 percent of Real Madrid’s total minutes under Alonso.
