According to a recent report from El Desmarque, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo received a phone call from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola during which, he made a ‘considerable offer’ to bring the talented Brazilian to the Premier League club.

Recently, it has come to light that Manchester City are actively looking to strengthen their squad, and Rodrygo has caught their eye once again.

It must be noted that the 23-year-old forward is very content at Real Madrid. In fact, he has no issues with his teammates or the club itself. However, he did receive a significant offer from Guardiola three days after the Champions League match against City.

Despite the tempting proposal, Rodrygo remains committed to Real Madrid. He feels the unwavering support of his manager, Carlo Ancelotti, and has not considered leaving the club, regardless of the media buzz surrounding his future.

Rodrrygo wants to stay. Period!

It has been reported previously that Manchester City are indeed interested in signing Rodrygo. However, the player’s loyalty to Real Madrid, combined with his substantial price tag, makes any potential transfer challenging to finalise.

Real Madrid, for their part, are not looking to let go of the young forward during this transfer window, as they view him as a crucial part of their plans moving forward.

Moreover, Real Madrid have made it clear that they have closed the door on any significant departures this summer. The club believes their squad is now fully prepared to compete for the remaining titles this season.

Given this stance, it seems highly unlikely that Rodrygo, who was on the scoresheet against Mallorca, will be leaving for Manchester City or any other club in the near future.

The focus remains on achieving success with the current team, and Rodrygo is expected to play a vital role in that pursuit.
