Man City star in line for return against Sunderland | OneFootball

Enzo Maresca says Jeremy Doku is likely to return for Manchester City’s clash with Sunderland.

Doku has been sidelined with a calf injury but could be available for Sunday’s game.

“Probably he can be available for Sunderland,” Maresca said.

The City boss is expecting a difficult test against Regis Le Bris’ side and believes they were unfortunate to lose to Arsenal in their previous game.

“I watched the game against Arsenal and I watched again in the last two days,” Maresca said.

“If you watch the game, you realise how strong they are. I think, personally, they didn’t deserve to lose that game.

“They are very strong, very well coached by their manager.”

Maresca also praised Sunderland’s organisation both in and out of possession and says the fixture could be City’s toughest test of the season so far.

“They already have time together and you can see what they want to do off the ball and on the ball.

“My feeling, watching them, is that it will be the toughest game since we started the season.”
