Marmoush was ineligible to face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday but the January signing will hope to build on an impressive debut against Chelsea last weekend.

But Savinho is also pushing for a start after helping City turn things around against Brugge and being praised by Pep Guardiola for his impact off the bench.

Abdukodir Khusanov is also available again but he struggled against Chelsea and John Stones is in line to partner Manuel Akanji in the heart of the City defence.

Guardiola has confirmed he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the game at Emirates Stadium.

Matheus Nunes is set to continue at right-back despite another difficult night against Brugge.

Rodri has made a surprise early return to training but Guardiola has warned the midfielder against rushing back to action following his serious knee injury.

Asked when Rodri could return, Guardiola said: “He’s positive but I don’t know to be honest. An ACL is an ACL.

“Always I believe in long injuries there’s a time you must respect because of the human body.

“[The] most important [thing] for Rodri now is to recover well.

“If you can back for one week, one month and [take a] step back for next season it’s not intelligent. “Of course, he’d love to play tomorrow - I know that. But the body is the body, and recovery needs its own time. “It’s going really well and he feels really good, but step by step we will see.”
