Defender John Stones and midfielder Bernardo Silva have already announced they will depart the Etihad Stadium this summer, with it being confirmed that legendary manager Pep Guardiola will also leave at the end of the campaign.

Guardiola has been blessed with a clean bill of health for his final game in charge, though recent returnees from injury Rodri and Josko Gvardiol may have their minutes managed.

Rodri played the entirety of Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth that confirmed Arsenal’s first Premier League title since 2004, while Gvardiol remained on the bench following his recovery from a broken tibia.

With Man City and Villa both assured of their spot in next season’s Champions League, it is expected that the departing Stones and Silva will start in their final game at the Etihad.

Ruben Dias has found gametime hard to come by in recent weeks, but as a long-standing partner of Stones at the back, the two could share a pitch for one final time.

Silva captained City in the FA Cup final last weekend, and he may line-up alongside the returning Nico Gonzalez in the middle of the park, if Rodri is rested.

January signing Antoine Semenyo gave City hope in the title race, and the Ghanaian international will aim to continue his good form on the final day. Rayan Cherki may return to the team after being named as a substitute in the last three games.

Erling Haaland has 27 Premier League goals this term, five more than Brentford’s Igor Thiago. As such, a third Premier League golden boot is all but confirmed for the Norwegian goal machine.

With little to play for, Egyptian attacker Omar Marmoush may be given a runout leading the line.
