Man City’s Bonanno features in Prime Video’s Esports World Cup documentary | OneFootball

Released today on Amazon Prime Video, Man City Esports FC Pro Matias Bonanno features in the new esports documentary, Esports World Cup: Level Up.

The documentary went behind the scenes in Saudi Arabia during the inaugural Esports World Cup in 2024 which saw some of the best pros from around the globe take centre stage in a new competition for various games, FC 24 included.

The show followed a variety of people involved in the competition from organisation CEOs to pro players from League of Legends, Call of Duty and more.

Throughout the episodes, fans will be able to see the amount of time, dedication and hard work that goes into getting to a moment such as competing at the Esports World Cup.

And back-to-back ePremier League champion Bonanno will feature in one of the episodes.

“It was great to film my parts for the show, I never really expected to feature in a documentary series like this, so it was a great surprise,” said the Argentine.

“I think it does a great job at showing that esports is a serious scene and we all dedicate our lives to trying to be the best in the world. Unfortunately, it wasn’t my year but I’m hoping we can bring the title back to Manchester this year."

Bonanno and Tekkz have qualified for the FC Pro World Championships which will be held at the Esports World Cup.

Neat missed out on direct qualification for the competition but will try his luck in the last chance qualifier in the days leading up to the competition.
