Manchester City have several of the most talented teenagers in English football. They have won more Under-18 Premier League titles than any other club.
Read on as we look at the best U18 players at Man City.
The young winger is the son of former footballer Emile Heskey. He joined Man City at U8 level and has emerged as one of the best talents at the club’s academy.
He has been described as ‘dangerous’, and can produce moments of brilliance with his creativity and clinical finishing.
He debuted in the U18 Premier League last season and scored 18 goals in 19 games – the most for City and the third highest in the division. He was named the club’s U18 Player of the Season.
The young attacking midfielder moved to City from West Ham United in 2023 and has featured for the U18s in the past two seasons.
He is comfortable in tight places and decisive in the final third, whether scoring or assisting a teammate.
He was the club’s second top scorer in the U18 Premier League last season, as he tallied 16 goals and 15 assists in 20 games. He was named the U18 Players’ Player of the Season.
The talented defender started his career at Man City and has now progressed to the U21s.
Mfuni has ‘impressive physical prowess with excellent vision on the ball’, making him one of the standout prospects of the Cityzens.
He has impressed manager Pep Guardiola and was the youngest member of the squad to travel to the United States for pre-season last summer.
The 16-year-old England youth international signed for Man City after leaving Leeds United in 2023.
He is a technically sound, intelligent and creative midfielder who can produce brilliant moments.
He debuted in the U18 Premier League in the 2023/24 season but featured regularly last term, providing eight goals and nine assists in 21 games.
He moved to Manchester City from Chelsea last summer and was a pivotal player for the U18s last season, tallying 10 goals and two assists.
The 17-year-old winger has explosive speed and is versatile, as he can be deployed anywhere across the frontline.
