Karim Adeyemi is continuing to impress with Borussia Dortmund amid interest from Chelsea.

The German winger was on fire for Dortmund in the Champions League last night, hitting a superb hat-trick as his side enjoyed a 7-1 thrashing of Celtic.

Adeyemi has shone for Dortmund for a while now, and we recently reported that Chelsea like the player and are keeping an eye on him, so they’ll no doubt have been impressed with what they saw from him in such a big game last night.

One imagines other top clubs will start to pay close attention to Adeyemi if he carries on like this, with Fabrizio Romano noting that he was voted Dortmund’s man of the match yesterday, whilst also making a small piece of history…

Adeyemi has now hit ten Champions League goals before the age of 23, something no other German footballer has managed before.

Karim Adeyemi would surely be an asset for Chelsea

Adeyemi looks like he surely has a big career ahead of him, and it would be exciting to see him test himself in the Premier League with a big club like Chelsea at some point.

It remains to be seen if the west London giants will end up targeting the 22-year-old as one of their top priorities, but he would surely be a significant upgrade on the struggling Mykhailo Mudryk.

Chelsea have only recently signed a number of attacking players, though, bringing in all three of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Jadon Sancho this summer.

That perhaps doesn’t leave much room for Adeyemi, especially as Noni Madueke has also impressed this season, showing real improvement since Enzo Maresca took over as manager.

Still, the jury is perhaps still out on the likes of Felix and Sancho, who didn’t arrive at Chelsea in the best of form, so perhaps that might explain the ongoing interest in Adeyemi, who is clearly on fire at the moment.
