Leeds return to Premier League duty at Manchester United on Monday with major fitness concerns. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, 11 players are out or doubtful, with four now back.
United have not played since the Friday before the international break, a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth sealed by Junior Kroupi’s penalty. They face an eight pm Old Trafford kick-off after 23 days without a game.
Despite the pause, United still have injuries and a suspension, while Leeds’ problems worsened after their FA Cup quarter-final win at West Ham.
For United, Patrick Dorgu is a doubt after a January hamstring injury in the 3-2 win at Arsenal. He has stepped up to individual work at Carrington and joined a Dublin camp to continue rehab, and it would be a major surprise if he played.
Harry Maguire is out through suspension after his red card at Bournemouth. Matthijs de Ligt has not featured since November with a back issue and no timescale, effectively leaving him out as a major doubt.
For Leeds, Anton Stach sustained ankle ligament damage after Max Kilman’s follow through at West Ham. A May return is viewed as more realistic than later this month.
Joe Rodon also suffered an ankle injury early in the second half at West Ham and was unable to continue. He has been ruled out, with April only a bonus and May more realistic.
Dan James will miss Monday with an adductor strain and is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.
