Manchester United might consider a move for Dusan Vlahovic in case they get outpriced for Viktor Gyokeres.

Despite Rasmus Hojlund’s recent exploits, the Red Devils are still expected to bolster their offensive ranks with a top-notch striker next summer. After all, Joshua Zirkzee has yet to find his form at Old Trafford, while Marcus Rashford’s future is anything but certain at this stage, with a growing number of reports linking him with an exit.

With Ruben Amorim in charge, Gyokeres is certainly on top of Utd’s wishlist. Reuniting the free-scoring Swede with his old Sporting CP manager would be the ultimate dream for the Premier League giants.

But after scoring 25 goals in 23 outings this season, it’s safe to say that half of Europe is after the Sweden international, but very few clubs would be willing to afford him.

So while it remains to be seen who will prevail in the race for Gyokeres, Man United are reportedly pondering an alternative track.

Man United consider moving for Dusan Vlahovic as alternative track to Viktor Gyokeres

According to TuttoJuve journalist Massimo Pavan, the Premier League giants are keeping an eye on Vlahovic who represents a ‘cheaper’ option.

At the moment, Juventus have no intention of depriving themselves of their star striker who has been their top goal-scorer over the past few campaigns, and is leading the charts this term as well with seven goals.

However, the Serbian’s contract is only valid until June 2026, and the two parties have yet to register any progress in their renewal talks. Hence, the Bianconeri could find themselves forced to sell the 24-year-old next summer as they wouldn’t want to lose one of their best assets on a free transfer a year later.

That being said, Vlahovic wouldn’t come exactly cheap, as the Serie A giants would still aim for a €70-million transfer fee, although their leverage would be weakened if they fail to put the attacker’s signature on a new contract.
