Manchester United are reportedly interested in the services of Real Sociedad midfielder Luka Sucic who is enjoying an impressive first campaign in Spain.
The Croatia international was born and raised in Austria, climbing the ranks at Red Bull Salzburg’s academy before eventually becoming a protagonist with the first team.
The 22-year-old was sought after by a host of European clubs last summer, but it was Sociedad who prevailed in the race, taking advantage of his expiring contract to sign him for €10 million. He arrived at San Sebastian as a natural replacement for the club’s long-time servant Mikel Merino who joined Arsenal in the same summer.
Sucic has been able to make an immediate impact in LaLiga, establishing himself as a regular starter at the Basque club. He has thus far contributed with a single goal and an assist in 17 appearances across all competitions. But beyond his stats, the midfielder has been showcasing his talent and creativity, catching the eye of Man United.
According to Fichajes.net, the Red Devils are tempted to launch an onslaught for the Croatian.

Nevertheless, signing the player won’t be an easy task given that Sociedad have only recently bought him and tied him down with a contract until June 2029. Moreover, this club is often stubborn when it comes to selling its best assets.
However, the Spanish side could be tempted by the possibility of registering a large windfall, as the Premier League giants could be willing to splash €40 million, which could constitute major capital signs.
Sucic could be the right heir for Christian Eriksen who is reportedly on his way out of the club after being deemed ill-suited for Ruben Amorim’s football. The Dane’s contract will expire at the end of the season, and a renewal appears out of the question.
