Manchester United have made an exciting Carlos Baleba announcement ahead of the meeting with Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Last week, United officially confirmed the signing of Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion in a deal worth a £65m guaranteed fee plus £5m in add-ons.

Baleba put pen to paper on a five-year contract which includes the option of a further 12 months.

Strengthening the engine room was the primary objective heading into the summer, and United have delivered on that front. With Andrey Santos arriving from Chelsea and Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, Baleba’s arrival now completes the overhaul.

The Cameroonian is currently injured, having picked up an ankle injury in pre-season.

The issue is however not thought to be serious and Baleba is expected to make his return in mid-September. United come up against cross-town rivals Manchester City on September 13.

Speaking after completing the move, Baleba revealed that United have always been the club he dreamed of playing for. He also spoke of his excitement at the prospect of working under Michael Carrick and embracing the next challenge in his career.

United have revealed that Baleba will be unveiled at Old Trafford just before the meeting with Ipswich kicks off.

United say, “The midfielder will be at Old Trafford for Sunday’s game, our first at home this season.”

“Carlos will be unveiled to the crowd just before kick-off, at 16:30 BST, and supporters are encouraged to get to their seats early to help give our new man a warm welcome.”

A return to winning ways will be the aim for United as they prepare to lock horns with Gary O’Neil’s outfit.

After last weekend’s shock 2-0 defeat to Hull City, United know they cannot afford a similar showing against the Tractor Boys.
