Man United legend calls Real Madrid star to Old Trafford | OneFootball

Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has this week sent a public message the way of Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni.

This comes in the form of a plea to the Frenchman to take his talents to Old Trafford this summer.

Tchouaméni has of course been heavily linked with a potential Man United switch of late, amid the understanding that the Red Devils consider the former AS Monaco standout the ideal profile of player to reinforce the club’s engine room.

And one individual hopeful that Tchouaméni does go on to take a move to the Premier League into genuine consideration with a view to next season is the aforementioned Rio Ferdinand.

Speaking on his personal podcast late this week, ex-defender Ferdinand revealed that he has already spoken ‘privately’ to the 26-year-old.

This comes with the Englishman of the opinion that Manchester United ‘is the club’ for Tchouaméni moving forward:

“If Tchouaméni has even the slightest hint of leaving that club, Manchester United has to be the first at the door knocking and making sure he can’t even talk to anyone else. Tchouaméni, I know we had a few private conversations. I know you watch the show, there’s only one club for you, mate. If you’re thinking of leaving Real Madrid, we’re the club, Man United is the club.”
