Man United make contact with Barcelona legend Xavi over manager’s job | OneFootball

The board at Premier League giants Manchester United have made contact with the entourage of former Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández.

This comes with the Spaniard having emerged as one of a number of options to replace Erik ten Hag on the bench at Old Trafford.

Dutchman Ten Hag of course finds himself under mounting pressure at present.

Amid what has proven a hugely underwhelming opening to the campaign on the red half of the Manchester divide, the United brass are understood to be taking into serious consideration Ten Hag’s dismissal.

So much so that potential replacements for the former Ajax headmaster are already being sought out.

As per a report from the Daily Mail, a four-man target shortlist has been drawn up, with the aforementioned Xavi featuring front and centre.

Out of work since being sent packing by Barcelona earlier this summer, the Spaniard recently sat down for a meeting with a four-man Man United delegation.

Also on the list of the Red Devils, meanwhile, are the trio of Edin Terzić, Ruben Amorim, and Thomas Frank.
